Windows

1. Download the .ttf file.
2. Right-click it and choose Install (or Install for all users with admin rights).
3. Restart your editor so the font appears in the list.

macOS

3. If a duplicate is flagged, choose Resolve Automatically.

Linux

Common problems and fixes

Kalpurush not showing in your editor

Most editors load fonts at launch, so fully quit and reopen the application after installing. On Windows, also right-click the .ttf, open Properties, and Unblock it if the option is present.

Bangla appears as boxes or tofu

Empty boxes mean no Bangla-capable font is applied. Select the text and set the font to Kalpurush directly. If individual conjuncts render incorrectly, the cause is usually an older operating system with a dated text-shaping engine rather than the font.

Garbled English-looking characters
