About Nitro Racer

Nitro Racer is a real-time multiplayer typing race set on a stylized beach circuit. You and three AI bots get the same passage of text — every correct keystroke pushes your car a little further along the track, and the first car to cross the finish line wins the race.

The bots are named after the beach (BlueLagoon, PalmDrift, ShellShock, …) and tuned to typical typing speeds — easy bots top out around 8 WPM, medium 14 WPM, hard up to 24 WPM. They're catchable by anyone willing to focus.

All three modes are supported — English passages for English mode, plus Avro and Bijoy for Bangla. The race engine uses the canonical typing engine shared with the lessons, so what works in practice works on the track too.

How to Play Nitro Racer

Pick a language

Choose English, Bangla (Avro) or Bangla (Bijoy) on the launcher.

Wait for the countdown

The race starts after a 3-2-1 countdown. Engines rev, cars line up.

Type the passage

Each correct character moves your car forward. Wrong keystrokes are skipped with an error penalty so you don't get stuck.

Cross the finish line

Place 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th. Standings show live WPM for every racer.

How does Nitro Racer work for Bangla?
Bangla mode uses your chosen layout (Avro or Bijoy) for character validation. The car advances on each correct codepoint, so multi-key sequences like ‘kh' or vowel signs all work naturally.
Can I play with friends?
The matchmaker is currently solo (3 AI opponents). Multiplayer with friends is on the roadmap; for now everyone races against the same bot pool with the same passage.
How are the AI bots tuned?
Bot speeds are sampled from a difficulty-tuned WPM range with per-second jitter. Easy = 4–8 WPM, Medium = 8–14 WPM, Hard = 16–24 WPM. They drift slightly each second to feel organic.
What if I make a typo?
On a wrong key, the engine advances past that codepoint with an error penalty — so you never get stuck. Your final accuracy is still tracked.
Where do my race results go?
Each finish saves WPM, accuracy and placement to your dashboard. The leaderboard shows your best races over time.
